Over the course of many years, air conditioning systems for both domestic and work premises have become more sophisticated but the basic principles have remained the same: cold air circulating in warm climates or warm air in cold climates.
 
Thats what I call mould!In the summer period the amount of condensation often increases and the elevated temperatures increase mircobial proliferation. In the winter period people carry more colds, flu viruses and other ailments into the environment.
 
Within all air conditioning systems there remains the problem of condensation. This not only occurs at the condenser, which is there to remove water in the system but also in the ducting itself. In order to filter out micro organisms a filter size of 0.2 microns is required. Most aircon filter systems operate within a minimum of 1 micron. This will take out pollen and dust but not bacteria, viruses and the like.
