Great Ormond Street Hospital provides inspirational and world class care to hundreds of children every day. But they need to raise over £50 million every year to help keep the magic alive.
Technological and medical advances allow Great Ormond Street to continue to improve the quality of care they can provide for sick children. In order to do this, they must ensure they have the very best medical equipment.
Medical equipment is expensive.
Providing medical equipment suitable to be used for young people, children and often babies, is particularly expensive.
However, thanks to their supporters, the charity is able to provide the hospital with leading edge equipment so that their exceptional doctors and nurses can improve diagnosis and treatments and continue to provide children with world class care

This enables Great Ormond Street Hospital to claim tax back from the government.
Gift Aid is a government scheme which enables registered charities in the United Kingdom to claim the tax back from the Inland Revenue on donations.
How it works
If you are currently a UK taxpayer, and you fill out a Gift Aid Declaration when you make a donation Great Ormond Street Hospital can claim back 25p for every £1 that you donate.
Once you have signed your Gift Aid Declaration it is valid for all gifts in the future and for any gifts you have made to us in the six years prior to signing the Declaration.
