The Art of Paint Correction

The most important process in the detailing world is the preparation of the paintwork prior to the paint cleaner, polishing and waxing.

First stage is to accurately measure the amount of paint available to machine. In most instances these highly accurate depth gauges will also tell if the car has been previously re-sprayed.

Constant monitoring of the the paint thickness is recorded to enable our detailers to know exactly how much paint can safely be machined.

Rotary Polishing (as opposed to a Dual Action Polisher)

The highly skilled task of using a Rotary Polisher (as opposed to a Rotary polishing

Dual Action Polisher) to flatten and level the paint is the single most important step in the detailing process. Paint Correction will remove blemishes such as Oxidation, Swirl Marks, Buffer Trails, Marring, Holograms and removable scratches.

The use of a high powered sunlight lamp reveals the blemishes which may otherwise be hidden in artificial or poor light. At least 90% of all blemishes will be removed.

The alternative to Paint Correction would be a costly re-spray. This is not only very expensive and time consuming but may also de-value your car.

The Time

Paint Correction takes time and patience. Paint Correction cannot, and must not, be rushed. The time required for Paint Correction to a car like, for example a Black 911 Porsche in good condition, would be around 5 hours. Larger cars, or cars with poor paintwork will take two or three days.
