Having completed the washing and clay bar stages the paintwork is ready to polish.

Paint Cleaner

Autowash knows the secret to a stunning award-winning finish is to use a pure paint cleaner, followed by a pure paint polish, prior to the application by hand of the Carnauba wax.

The Cleaner process not only helps to remove blemishes like minor oxidation, minor swirl marks and light scratches, but also replaces essential oils that are needed to nourish damaged and dull paintwork.

When detailing using Swissvax, we apply Swissvax cleaner fluid prior to the application of the wax. This paint preserving solution contains 'heavy' polishing oils that will nourish the paint. It does not contain abrasives. It is used to help illiminate swirl marks, light scratches, tar spots and tree sap. It is an absolute must before the first wax treatment. Swissvax cleaner fluid is available in different strengths depending on the condition of the paintwork.

Polishing

Having used the Paint cleaner, it’s time to polish. Pure Paint Polishes are used.

These polishes have been specially formulated to create a stunning, high shine finish by conditioning and nourishing the paint.

These polishes offer no paint protection or sealant. They are the extra steps necessary to create the ultimate, wet look shine.

Waxing

The higher and purer the carnauba wax content, the better the protection and shine. High quality Carnauba wax is applied by hand to the entire car.

Swissvax Best of Show is our standard choice of wax.

Enriched with pineapple and cinnamon oil extracts containing 51% by volume of ultra pure Brazilian non bleached and yellow carnauba wax. Best of Show wax gives your paintwork a lustre ordinarily encountered only on prize winning classics.

If you prefer you can elect to upgrade to Swissvax Mystery wax.

This secret formula is based on 55% by volume of the purest white grade one and unbleached natural carnauba wax. It contains high concentrations of wax esters, wax alcohols and long chain fatty acids. It is enriched with coconut, almond and vanilla extracts.

This aircraft had the benefit of being detailed with Swissvax Shield, a wax which contains a high percentage of "Teflon", (PTFE). A long lasting wax designed for tough service. Because of it's 'non stick' effect it is almost impossible for dirt and flies to adhere to the highly concentrated natural wax with PTFE, just as a fried egg will not stick to a Teflon coated frying pan.

For the ultimate protection and shine, Swissvax Divine is "simply the best".

Each year the Swissvax factory blend a wax of most exceptional quality containing over 60% by volume of ultra pure Brazilian white carnauba.
